Hi, I’m Liz and I'm glad you're here! Originally from south Texas, I’ve lived in Spokane, WA for a little over a year. For the last 18 years, I've been on the move, collecting and sharing stories along the way. With my husband, Tim, and our three kids (Jack, 9; Maddie, 11; and Ben, 15), I've lived on the east and west coasts (plus points in between) with stints in Italy and Turkey. In the midst of this, we have loved and learned from many amazing folks around the world. Over the years, I’ve realized that the most important thing in life is community – to truly know people and be known in return.

I've never been a fan of resumés, but if I had to write one, I'd mention my experience in international non-profit communications, community building and online publishing. I might tell you about my M.A. in English from Kansas State University and my graduate certificate in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies. That work was rewarding, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. At every point along the way, the best part of life has always been meeting new friends and hearing their stories. Stories sustain me, they remind me that we are each uniquely different... and also (in the ways that matter most) the same.

I am a certified "Wild Writing" facilitator. Read more about my writing groups here.

After moving multiple times, I know firsthand the value of community, the magic that happens when strangers share their stories with each other and become friends. I love creating space for women to examine their own life stories and share them.

Nothing makes me happier than the phrase, "Can I be honest with you?" (the answer is always a resounding YES!). I'm a fan of open doors, warm hugs, handwritten notes, traveling far, and coming back home. I would love to talk to you! Get in touch at liz@lizculpepper.com
